Seeking What's True
Within ourselves, beyond our self, with each other.
Listened to this really good podcast this morning. I ended up taking notes. I want to spend more time on this, I just think my brain needs a break. I need to apply this with every relationship in my life as much as I can, so much to learn from and understand.
I copied the link to it, and posted it below. If you listen to it, I'll include the notes/highlights that I got out of it during my first listening. I think we can all benefit knowing how to open up in a kind and respectful way to people in our lives and feeling safe doing so.

-Blaming mode

-Buddha quote
-Unmet need for safety or approval
-Check your intention before speaking
-Non-violent communication, still doing it to make them feel bad (?)
-Deepen the sense of understanding and connection
-Express something that will allow us to serve our connection
-Many variables as "outcome"
-Of feeling safety of communication
-Norm for unevenness in our self awareness
- Practice where safer first
- Key thing is acceptance
-Container, agreements about sharing truths
-Vows "Unfold...closed I am false.. I want to stay clear in your sight"
-"Check in's," containers, meditate
-"What are you feeling grateful for?"
- "What challenges are you facing?"
- "Is there anything between us in the way to be open hearted and loving?"
-Agreements on how to communicate truths
- What helps us feel more safe and also safe for the other person
-Look, respond
-A space to share the difficult truths
More on this later...
