a flashlight is a good tool

Tapping into this unknown is frightening I think because what I find makes me feel shame and hurt.

I try to remind myself those feelings do not have to bring me suffering now. They are in the past, and do not define me.

Besides emotions are temporary and the thoughts that cause them, they're false. <- I try to remind myself that too when I get "stuck." Remember Denia, and anyone reading this, emotions don't last for more than 90 seconds. Gotta let them flow through. Anything else is being elongated by the mind and the thoughts it produces.

Like in the dark, my eyes are open yet I am blind to what is in front of me, so I use a flashlight to show me the way.

Shining the light of awareness into the darkness, and going all in, isn't just scary it's a place of discovery for knowledge about oneself. Here I find "tools" (lessons) to use to improve and develop myself.

Without this "shining" into the darkness, my patterns continue and so does my suffering. For me, this unconscious trance is best identified through meditation. I have the power to change, and it's possible by controlling my mind.

This unknown/darkness thing is a lot like trying something new. Gotta go into it with a beginners mind, open to take it in and learn.

"You shall not defeat me!" -Joshy

Without judgement, without harsh self talk...

May I be free from my self-criticisms and judgements.

May I grow and develop myself with love.

May I also be free from fear and resistance.

May I be brave enough to discover what needs my love and attention, and open and strong enough to absorb and make the "change I wish to see."
